Cookie Policy
What MakeInvoicePDF stores in your browser, why, for how long, and how to remove it.
In short
- The site's own code sets no cookies.
- Google Analytics sets cookies only if you allow analytics cookies.
- The generators keep your draft in your browser's local storage, and the site keeps your cookie choice there. Local storage stays on your device and is not sent with page requests.
What is stored
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| mip_draft_ followed by the generator name | Local storage, set by this site | Your draft on a generator page: everything in the form, including a logo you added | Until you press Reset in the editor or clear this site's data |
| mip_consent | Local storage, set by this site | Your cookie choice: whether you allowed analytics cookies, and when you chose | Until you clear this site's data; a new choice replaces it |
| _ga | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Set only if you allow analytics. Recognizes a returning browser | Google sets how long it lasts; the site removes it when you withdraw consent |
| _ga_ followed by an ID | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Set only if you allow analytics. Keeps track of the current visit | Google sets how long it lasts; the site removes it when you withdraw consent |
The draft is written as soon as a generator loads and changes with every edit, so you can close the tab and continue later. Each generator keeps its own draft. Anyone who uses the same browser profile can open it, so press Reset when you finish on a shared computer.
Analytics cookies and your choice
The cookie banner offers three choices:
- Essential only: no analytics cookies.
- Accept all: Google Analytics may set its cookies.
- Settings: tick or untick Analytics, then save.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, the site removes the cookies whose names start with _ga. Advertising storage is never allowed, whatever you choose. Without your consent, Google Analytics still receives page views and tool events without cookies; the Privacy Policy lists what they contain.
Google describes its cookies on How Google uses cookies.
Cloudflare
On generator pages, the Download PDF window loads a security check from Cloudflare Turnstile in a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com. What that frame stores is up to Cloudflare. Cloudflare, which also delivers this site, can set cookies of its own when some of its security features are switched on; it lists them on its page about Cloudflare cookies.
The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage for this, so it runs without asking for your consent.
Removing or blocking what is stored
- Reset in a generator removes that generator's draft and starts again from the example.
- Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes every draft, your cookie choice and the analytics cookies.
- If your browser blocks this site's storage, the generators still work but cannot keep your draft.
- If you block the security check from challenges.cloudflare.com, the Download PDF button stays off, because a PDF is made only after the check passes.
